Wow - That Was Fun!

Oh boy - what a great trip that was! Everyone was so well-behaved - everywhere we went we received compliments from those who worked with us. The music presentations were great, the recording session was over-the-top fabulous, and the dancers placed 6th and 2nd in their national competitions! And oh by the way, the rides were pretty great too  :)


As we spoke about on our last day, we incurred some additional and unanticipated expenses related to increased fuel costs that were passed on in the form of higher charges. To cover the additional expense, there are two options for all trip-takers: participate in a pop can drive on Saturday morning April 14, or pay an additional $25 - your choice. The bill has been paid by McKee, so collecting this money will pay her back. 

(BTW, if you're not available Saturday morning April 14 but still prefer the pop can option, we also need people to distribute door hangers during the week to let neighbors know we're collecting. You can always opt for that!)

Once you've decided which option works best for you, send an email to McKee and we'll note your choice.

OK boys and girls, today is the day! Make sure you have your instrument/equipment, your music, and your uniform in your luggage (AND, black socks!) - along with all your clothes, toiletries, medicine, SUNSCREEN, and anything else you need to take with you. Don't forget your phone charger and make sure you have money for lunches and dinners, and maybe bring some snacks along too.
We'll see everyone at the Southwest Airlines desk at PDX. Aim to be there by 1:30 - NO LATER THAN 1:45!

Thanks to everyone for a great meeting last night! We disseminated a lot of information and answered many questions - whew!

EVERYONE WHO IS GOING MUST BE AT THE MEETING. PERIOD. NO EXCUSES. NO ONE CARES IF YOU HAVE:

• A DATE
• A LESSON
• AN APPOINTMENT 
• A CLASS 
• A JOB 
• A TEST 
• A RASH
• A HEADACHE 
• A BACKACHE
• OR ANYTHING ELSE.

Whatever it is, cancel it. And don't bring us a note from your mother, "excusing" you from the meeting. All that will tell us is that your mother thinks you don't have to follow directions. And that is not correct.

Time For A Meeting!

Now that we're back from our Winter Break, it's time to catch up on some essential trip details. 

Come to the MANDATORY Trip Meeting Monday evening January 9, beginning at 7:30 in the THS Library. Students planning to go on the trip MUST attend, along with at least one parent-type adult. 

(And yes, there will be one more of these before we go.)
